Welcome to McPhitty’s Musings (McPhitty is a pseudo-surname I created several years ago on a lark, somehow it’s sort of taken on a life of its own),  my own little corner of the blogosphere.  My real name is James West, and I work as a full-time Computer Science Instructor.  I’m also a part-time (OK, well it’s actually rather more than part-time hours) system administrator/database manager/application developer at the same university.

The views expressed in this blog are my own, and others have a right to disagree with me.  My interests include generally geeky things, as any self-respecting computer geek would, theology, and my wife (she’s actually the most important of the three).

Theologically, I would be classified as a Five-point Calvinist, I would describe myself as Covenantal, Presbyterian, and Reformed (the least significant of which is “Presbyterian”).
